This past weekend was the annual Good Food Awards. This is a very special occasion that celebrates "tasty, authentic, and responsibly produced" food. The event brings together food connoisseurs from across the country who each are pushing their industries towards craftsmanship and sustainability while, at the same time, encouraging and building a strong sense of community. Needless to say, the food and drinks were world class. We had the chance to sample everything from beer to preserved fish to elixirs and we were blown away.
But even better than the amazing culinary experience was the passion that these people had for their cause. They could tell you each and every ingredient, nutrient, and step that went into production. And whether they were producing cheese or jam, they were determined to make an impact in their community. We were asked to come for a couple hours to photograph the event and we had a blast. We were sneaking around trying - to the best of our ability - to capture the authenticity that we experienced. Alcohol on the job is not necessarily recommended, but we definitely felt "stealthier" with our big cameras after a couple samples of craft beer... We are very thankful for the opportunity to be apart of this experience and we hope you like the pictures!
